VISITATION RIGHTS - Senryu

VISITATION RIGHTS
(a senryu)

You willingly gave
up your rights the day that you
walked out of our lives

How lucky were we
to not go through the system
you were judge and jury

SKIN

Skin

I  feel the smoothness
of your Earth Brown skin
melting under  me  as I  begin to play...

 Fingers running felicitously

We begin flowing synchronously

I feel your tautness begin to transpire

into a rhythm of desire

My breathing becomes attuned

 as your pulsations move through

I  become one with you

Touching

Skin on Skin

I feel the ecstasy rise

hypnotized

by your vibe

I close my eyes

kneeling before you

while  our quiet storm collides

I hear the Ancestors chanting

from deep inside

as we  watch the yellow moon rise

Now completely full with your rhythm

I need nothing more...

I am satisfied

MOON BATHING

MOON BATHING

A temptingly luxurious
constellate of soft
milky white skin
merges breezily with
clandestine pink within
Sensuous aromas mingle
under moon light
propelling our senses
to empyrean heights

DISPLACED

DISPLACED

I am a man, a father
Doing his best to simply survive
Feed my family, keep them safe
Most days I wonder how we even stayed alive
That day the men with guns came
and forced down my door
They grabbed hold of my wife
while holding me down with a knife
Raped and tortured her
eventually taking her life
As if that wasn't enough they went for my 14 year old daughter
I will never get her screams out of my head
most days I wish too that I was dead
but how could I save her with the knife at my throat
And you ask me why I decided to get on that boat.

Filthy Untouchable Lost Black Boys
Go back to where you came from!

I am a man of great standing
it is my duty to distribute food, resolve disputes
To Mother Earth we give our prayers
We once roamed this country proud and free
That day I watched your boats sail to our shores
We got written out of your history
You say it is to help me, to assimilate me
But I no longer have any say
You systematically desecrate our sacred lands
Sent us to reservations of your own choosing
Then sell off our home to the highest bidder
You show me pieces of paper
that have no true value to any one but you
And all the while you sing your Anthem
which has absolutely no meaning for me?

I now roam this land
no papers to say who I am
my history gone
the life I knew abruptly stolen in a moment
my only happy memories
are when I remember the sounds of their laughter...
I wish I could go back to where I came from
where I belong.

SONG USED - ANTHEM WITHOUT NATION by Nitin sawhney

MY SECRET GARDEN (the place only you can reach)

MY  SECRET GARDEN

(the place only you can reach)

How intensely you must burn

for me

that I can feel your warmth
from all the way down here

infusing me

from the tips of my toes
to the sensile lobes

all those places only you
will ever reach

as I lay here
In my secret garden.

And as your warmth continues to grow
condensation converges like a tidal flow

rising up to the moon
where inhibitions swoon
I slowly begin to remove
layers

of resistance

slowly tossing them aside
while basking comfortably in your gaze
and your life giving rays

ENSHROUDED

ENSHROUDED

They say it's to protect your sexuality
But as your sister I will never see it that way
Will I ever get to see the beauty of your smile?
Or are you taking refuge
so I don't see the despair in your eyes

I see you walking past me on the street
in the oppressive summer heat
I want you to experience  life
where you are no longer concealed
where you are free to dance

Why oh why would any creator
want to enshroud such an exquisite flower?
Your darkened eyes veil the colours of your soul
I want to see you allowed free suffrage
No more draping your quintessence
and intellect in a perpetual prison

You were born a woman
who gave anyone the right
to snuff out your light
when you should
instead shine bright
It's your birthright
Your Liberty

WILL YOU (LET ME) ?

LET ME

I couldn't have stopped myself from
growing in love with you each passing day
any more than a flower
could stop itself from opening
when kissed by the suns rays

I couldn't have stopped wanting to learn
the secrets of your heart and soul
Any more than I would
abandon my own breath
...you are the one who helps me feel whole

I don't want to simply be your temptation...
I feel we are the key each others salvation
It is You who is tattooed into my memory
So no longer is it a mystery
