TRAVELING IN LIMBO

Cruising along lost highways in time

Snippets of different lifetimes running through my mind

Sometimes I can't tell if they are a dream or reality

The speed we've been traveling

has a strange way of blurring the scenery

What once appeared as beauty in my eyes

Has turned into one continuous conundrum

Failing to appreciate what is in front of me

Wondering why things are no longer the

way they used to be

Navigating roads into the unknown

That trusty folded up map has become

tattered and torn

After a while the conversation dries up

The silence overtaking us on the inside lane

Sometimes we just need to pull over on

the side of the road

STOP

Let the engines cool down

refuel 
and enjoy the sunshine

The pressure of the differentials 
need a touch of posi-traction

which will lead to some  much needed re-calibration

Giving us time to  process the situation

If a change of direction is what is needed

Then lets re-draw the map

and discover where it will lead us.
